Many of you may know that I serve on the board for Dress for Success Dallas. The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. This is a non-profit organization that is near and dear to my heart.

I’d like to personally thank everyone who attended our inaugural Lone Star Derby luncheon this past Saturday, April 30. The event was a great success and we raised over $25,000 for our organization. I’d like to especially thank Cynthia Smoot for the great writeup she posted on her blog, www.OhSoCynthia.com.
